Introduction

"I am the Way: the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

That's what Jesus Christ said. That he's the only way to God. Are these the words of a deranged lunatic? Or perhaps of an arrogant liar? Or are they true words?

In this section, we want to challenge you to think about the claims of the Lord Jesus Christ. To make up your own mind about him, because if his claims are true, you are in great danger if you aren't his follower.

We have tried to provide some short answers to a number of the genuine questions that people frequently ask about this Way.

We don't imagine that we've answered these questions completely, and we know that there will be other questions that you will have about Christ, and the Way back to God.

If you want answers, why not go to the same gold mine where we've dug them out: the Bible. Start reading in the 'New Testament' section. The Bible is the record of the working out of God's plan to rescue people from the consequences of rejecting himself. Both Old and New Testaments form one complete library of books whose subject is Jesus Christ. The Old Testament (OT) part tells the story beginning with God's creation of everything. It looks forward to the coming of Jesus Christ; the New Testament (NT) tells of his coming, and what that means for you and me.

If you want to know more, after reading this section, why not begin reading your Bible at the start of the NT—the Gospel of Matthew. Read the four Gospels for four different angles on Jesus.

According to the Bible, Jesus Christ is Lord through being raised from the dead. He is the Master of the Universe!

You owe it to yourself to find out about him. And if we can help, we'd love to hear from you. You can contact the minister your nearest PCEA congregation by using the 'Contact us' link on the menu of each congregation's pages.
