Terms and Conditions
For the purposes of these terms and conditions, "PCEA Missions" denotes the Synod Missions Committee of the Presbyterian Church of Eastern Australia (PCEA), which administers and oversees the collection and disbursement of funds to the projects listed on this website, as well as other charitable and religious endeavours not listed here. The PCEA is incorporated by Acts of the State Parliaments of NSW and Victoria, and is registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission (ACNC) as a Registered Charity (ABN 64 855 779 590)
The terms "Donor" and "Sponsor" denote any user who accesses the site to make a donation or regular sponsorship payments, whether using electronic means - paying by direct debit from their own internet banking system, instantly via PayPal, or offline -sending a cheque by mail.
The term "Sponsored Individual" refers to any person designated by PCEA Missions as a recipient of material support.
All donations made to PCEA Missions projects are non-tax deductible. We will issue a receipt for confirmation of your donation only. All funds donated are directed 100% to the Donor's designated project. Donation levels are monitored and updated automatically, however if the number of donations to any one project exceeds the requirement, if a project expires, or for other reasonable circumstances, PCEA Missions reserves the right to redirect the proceeds (either part or whole) to a similar project. Notification of the change will be made to the Donor. The Donor can then seek a refund or reallocation of their donation within 7 days of such notification.
Donations can be made as shown on the webpage, either by cheque, direct debit, or Paypal. If using Paypal, donations are made using Paypal's secure payment facilities. No financial details belonging to Donors (e.g. account numbers, credit card details, expiry dates, CCV, etc) are shared with, recorded or held by PCEA Missions. If paying by cheque, we may record account details, cheque numbers etc, for our own accounting purposes.
Donations using Paypal are governed by Paypal's own terms and conditions and using their service entails agreement with said terms and conditions.
Donations using Paypal are free for Australian users, however overseas donors paying in foreign currency will be subject to a fee payable to PayPal, as well as any charges imposed by their own Bank on such payments.
A sponsorship is intended as a ongoing involvement in the well-being of a Sponsored Individual. Sponsorships can be monthly payments of 12 equal parts, or a single yearly payment. You may apply for as many sponsorships as you wish, depending on availablilty.
Sponsorships can be cancelled by PCEA Missions for various reasons at our discretion. We will notify you of the end of the sponsorship arrangement as soon as practical. If a payment is made on a cancelled sponsorship, we will contact you to determine if you want to continue sponsoring another individual or receive a refund for the extra payment. You can redirect your sponsorship to another individual at any time, depending on availability, however we do ask you to consider sponsorship as an ongoing relationship with the Sponsored Individual.
Sponsorships can be made as shown on the webpage, either by cheque, direct debit, or Paypal. When using Paypal the Sponsor is required to set up a free Paypal account to make recurring payments. This account belongs entirely to the Sponsor, and no financial details belonging to Sponsors are shared with, recorded or held by PCEA Missions. If paying by cheque, we may record account details, cheque numbers etc, for our own accounting purposes.
Sponsorships using Paypal are also governed by Paypal's own terms and conditions and using their service as your preferred payment system entails agreement with their terms and conditions.
Sponsorships using Paypal are free for Australian users, however overseas Sponsors paying in foreign currency will be subject to a fee payable to PayPal, as well as any charges imposed by their own Bank on such payments.
Sponsorship funds are directed 100% to the material support of the Sponsored Individual.
